**Warning- I get mushy in the end**
So we are back home and getting all settled in. If you didn’t get a chance to make it to St. Louis Vintage Market Days, I am sorry to tell you that you missed out! Some people didn’t want to make the drive…Highland is about as far into Illinois as Wentzville is into Missouri….So it isn’t that bad. BUT- everyone that came L.O.V.E.D it. And boy did they come in big numbers!
The venue is big and spread out. Aisle ways were fabulous. Wheelchairs and strollers could navigate. Parking was a breeze and furniture pick up was super simple. And the food vendors. Oh the food vendors. We have the best. Just sayin’.
Vendor booths at St. Louis Vintage Market Days are crazy elaborate. I love them. I also am not capable of them and bless the heart of those that can pull it off. Honestly, I tried! I silver leafed a mural canvas to wall off our booth, hung a chandelier, and loved our banners that Allie from Rusty Nail Designs
designed for us. It took me all day (I am not kidding) to set up paint, unload and place furniture and get our banners and walls up. CRAZY!
I love how it turned out though.
This dining room table was a major show stopper. People freaked out over it and multiple people told us it was priced too low…which is a first. Sadly, it didn’t find its home so I guess it is waiting for someone that needs one and wants it.
But look at these legs!
We are becoming famous for our big Paint discounts at St. Louis Vintage Market Days. People come just for this, which is amazing! This time was no different…we literally sold BOXES on Friday and Saturday. We sell General Finishes paints, sealers, and stains in all sizes! For the paints- We always have every color of paint in quarts in stock at any time – they are a much better deal than the pints and are the most popular. But, we do have some pints and gallons and are happy to special order anything for you at no additional cost. Glazes, sealers, and stains we always have in stock in pints and quarts as well!
One of my favorite things to do is a two tone look on dressers and they always sell fast. In fact, 3 out of the 4 small dressers we brought with us SOLD.
All of our remaining inventory is on our website! If you see something you like, let us know!
We had the privilege of building and silver leafing the official St. Louis Vintage Market Days photo booth. It was close to our booth so we got to see girlfriends and kids and even dogs use it all weekend. So great!
Another thing Vintage Market Days offered was demos. We had a great spot for them and the line up was fantastic. The pavilion they were in had fans that kept it cool and bleachers to sit on. The only downside was that there was a generator for the food trucks right there so it was kinda hard to hear and we were kinda tucked away. One good thing is that we learned a few things and we are already secretly planning something for the December VMD that you will love!!! L.O.V.E
I didn’t get to look around much at this Vintage Market Days but I did RUN through the venue once and snapped just a few pictures.
So like I said, I literally ran around the venue. I hardly remember where everyone was but I do know Reclaim Renew
was there! They had a huge spot and tons of goodies!
Of course, Shades Of Blue
was there. With three amazing chandeliers which I have decided she is FAMOUS for. There I was taking pictures of her booth and she was tucked in a corner also taking pictures so when I noticed her I was scared half to death. I tried to snap a cute one of her being a photographer but she caught me 🙁
I sadly, got no pictures of Vintage Junkee’s booth and hardly got to talk to her at the event but they were there and their booth was amazing. Go to her facebook page
to see pictures!! I actually realized I have no pictures of inside the building and there were some seriously amazing displays in there! That is where JMG Designs
and Villa Design’s
booths were too!
In my lap around VMD, I took a bunch of pictures and here are a few of my favorites!
If these are your booths, let me know so I can give you credit!!!
I just want to say a huge heartfelt Thank you to each and everyone of you that came out, said hi, or even bought something. The compliments we got were absolutely amazing and each sweet note I get from you guys means the world to me. Every time I heard “I follow you on facebook” or “I read your blog!” it really did just make my heart smile.
My mom and sister-in-law both FLEW in to help us which is truly unbelievable and my neighbor and mother in law helped us get ready Friday. My neighbor is also a God send and watches our dogs whenever we have something like this. We feel beyond blessed to be on this scary new journey that my mid-life crisis
led us on.
I would love to hear your feedback on the event and can’t wait to see you at the next one!
In the mean time…feel free to stop by our work space or sign up for a DIY Class!
